B.TECH

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India for general category admission.
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on last December 31st.
Academic Requirements : Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subject with atleast 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Entrance Examination: Candidates should qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala(KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List.
Supernumerary quota for Foreign Nationals (FN), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) & Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC): No Visiting Visa holder can sponsor a student or who holds a Visa with ‘House Wife’ status. Either of the parent's certificate of employment on company letterhead is required
NRI Quota : The Managements are entitled to fill up 15% seats in the NRI category (NRI) by admitting qualified students who are Sons and Daughters of Non Resident Indians. These students are advised to qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala(KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List. Exemptions are based on their academic eligibility as stipulated by AICTE, Govt of Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Required: Father’s / Mother’s / Sponsor's Visa copy in English Language. (Translated to English)

M.TECH

The candidates shall be an Indian National.
The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities.
Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. For SEBC students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory.
Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission. They must have valid GATE score. A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination. Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam (8th semester for B.Arch students). Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree -satisfying clauses V (a) to (d) as applicable on or before September 30, 2018.
Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.
In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies. If seats are still remaining vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.

B.VOC

B.Voc. in Software Development is a three-year Undergraduate (UG) program that aims at imparting practical and industry relevant skill in the domain of computer science and software development.
The minimum eligibility criterion which most of the institutes ask for is a score of at least 55% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10+2 or equivalent level.
Vocational or Skill-based Education is becoming more and more significant with passing time. B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) is an emerging course in India, developed by the Central Government, that aims at providing adequate skills required for a particular trade to candidates. The course is different from traditional academic programmes as it deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on only theoretical knowledge.
B.Voc is a Three-Year duration undergraduate course that can be pursued in a wide range of fields. The course curriculum of B.Voc is Industry-based which contains about 40% general education and 60% vocational training components. One of the biggest advantages of pursuing B.Voc against traditional Degree courses is that a candidate has multiple exit and multiple entry points during the programme and the continued industry exposure.

General Information

Read the eligibility part in Admission Section of mets webpage carefully. Please ensure that you possess minimum entry qualification and also satisfy other conditions as mentioned while choosing a course. If you do not possess the minimum qualification as laid down in admission brochure, you will not be considered for the admission.

Of the total seats, 50% are filled by the students who appeared in the KEEM and allotted by the Entrance Commissioner. The remaining 50% of seats goes to management quota.Of this 35% seats are allotted to students considering their marks in Plus 2 exam and KEEM-2018 put together and ranked accordingly. The remaining 15% seats are allotted to NRI.

The State Entrance Commissioner invites applications for government seats and the management invites application from the candidates who have qualified the entrance exams.

The State Entrance Commissioner publishes the rank list of candidates who appeared in the KEEM. Management publishes rank list for management quota students from among the applicants who qualified in the KEEM.

The Chairman, Principal, Director (Academic) and Administrator constitute selection team for admission under management quota. The students are selected in the order of merit considering 50% of 12th standards marks and 50% of common entrance test marks.

How to Apply

The application form can be obtained from the office of MET'S School of Engineering, Mala, Thrissur, Kerala on payment of Rs.1000/-. Application forms can also be downloaded from the website – www.metsengg.ac.in. Such applications have to be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of “MET'S School of Engineering, Mala”. Copies of the following documents, attested by a gazetted officer/head of the institution where the student had last studied, are to be submitted along with the application.
